Many people I work with describe experiences like these:

You often feel like your thoughts are tangled up in your head.
You wish you can just stop feeling so anxious, sad, or stressed.
You don't want to burden your friends, so you keep things to yourself; or, you often hear people tell you to "stop worrying so much".
Sometimes, you wonder, "Maybe I am just too sensitive".
Perhaps you've never tried therapy, or you tried it briefly in the past but didn't find it helpful.
And now, you're unsure how to break out of this endless loop...
I’m honored to be part of your journey and grateful that you’re taking this step toward healing and growth.

My Therapy Style
I value each of my clients as unique individuals and deeply honor the opportunity to be part of their lives through therapy. I believe that healing begins in relationships, while also placing strong emphasis on skills-building. A big part of working with me is about learning new coping skills to handle difficult emotions and thoughts more effectively.

I place strong emphasis on understanding how each client’s lived experience is shaped by the systems around them—family of origin, society, culture, and beyond. My own journey of living in different places and encountering diverse cultural and gender values has deepened my awareness of the challenges of acculturation and the importance of cultural sensitivity in therapy. I feel honored to support my multicultural clients as they explore their identities and experience the healing power of being truly seen.

I take on an integrative approach which combines elements of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), person-centered, psychodynamic, strength-based, etc. I offer a safe and open space where clients can deepen self-awareness, set meaningful goals, and connect with the values that they want to bring into their lives.

enriched clinical experiences
I have worked with a variety of populations with different needs and struggles in life. My previous clinical experiences include school counseling at a public art high school, a community mental health center in Philadelphia, as well as a nonprofit organization based in Brooklyn where I supported Asian and Latino immigrant families through providing individual, couple, and family trauma-informed therapy.

relational approach
I primarily work with Asian-Americans and people with multicultural backgrounds, guiding them through the complex layers of their lived experiences. Much of my work centers around helping individuals process past trauma related to family dynamics and the feeling of being “never good enough”. Themes of cultural adaptation, identity exploration, definition of success and achievement, and intergenerational relationships—particularly the often complicated bonds with parents—frequently emerge in our conversations.

affirming and inquisitive
With genuine curiosity, I see thoughtful questions as a powerful way to help clients broaden their perspectives and discover new possibilities in life. I create a space where my clients feel seen, validated, and supported on their journey toward healing and self-understanding. I find joy in helping all my clients to find their own voices and confidence in what they want so that they could live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
